Melikam Gena!  Noheli nziza!  Krismesi emnandi!  Eid Milad Majid!  Joyeux Noël!  Frohe Weihnachten!  Sheng Dan Kuai Le!  Krismas Mubarak!  Buon Natale!  Tratra ny Noely!  Kreesmasko shubhkaamnaa!  Maligayang Pasko!  Feliz Natal!  Nadolig Llawen!  Seku Kulu!  Feliz Navidad!  Krismasi Njema!  Not sure these are all correct but thought I would add a bit of international flavor to this month’s letter.

We have a new person on the Mission Office team. Brian Garrison has been hired as the new Financial Director. He will be taking over for Tim Long as he and Jackie are reinstated in February 2018 to serve as BBFI missionaries in Egypt. At that time, Brian will officially take over the reins for the finance department. Brian and his wife, Mychelle, were BBFI missionaries in Peru for 11 years. We are thrilled to have him on the team and I am sure you will appreciate his service to you and our churches.

It is the end of the year which means we will be working on COLA (Cost of Living Allowance) adjustments, 1099s and 1095s. Please be sure we have the correct tax preparer information on file for you. Watch your email/mail for further information. I am happy to report that there will not be any changes to the Quarterly Report in 2018. I am sure you will be glad about that.

We have had a number of missionaries whose spouses have gone home to heaven this year. As you can imagine, this time of year will not be easy for them. Please remember them in your prayers. I know they will appreciate it during this time of loneliness.

The Christmas season is upon us and along with it comes all the commercial hype in most parts of the world. I can only imagine how different it is in each of the countries you serve in and yet, the reason for the season all around the world should be the same – JESUS! I pray that your ministry will flourish during this time of the year as you present the Gospel to people who may not listen at any other time.

Warmest wishes at Christmas and always!

Your friend,

Jon Konnerup
