Connection•Point
Our sixth annual youth camp was held August 18-23 this year. Jim Waters made a 900 kilometer trek from Mbala, in the extreme northern part of Zambia, to preach our youth camp. He did a great job challenging the youth about their commitment to God. All the kids loved being at camp for a whole week. We had a total of 96 campers this year from seven churches. By the end of the week there were 18 that came forward trusting Christ as Savior, 28 that came for encouragement and rededication, and two came saying they thought God was calling them to be preachers. All of the time, effort and money spent on the property up to now is well worth it to see these young people come away from the world for one week and concentrate on God’s Word and Christian fellowship. Please pray that God will use the decisions made during camp to transform the youth that were present to reach others for Christ. John Riggs, Zambia
Thought•Point
Bending our knees in prayer keeps us from breaking under the load of care.
Scripture•Point
2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
