Amazing Peace
Amazing Peace

From the moment the letter came suggesting a cause of concern in the mammogram, God gave such amazing peace that it was simple, would be cared for and the end result would be fine.  As a Christian, it is a win-win situation.  As Paul states in Philippians 1:23-24, “For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:  Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.”  To be able to stay and serve would be a blessing, but turn down Heaven?  Hardly!  As He promised, the cancer was caughtearly, the surgery removed it, and the radiation will, hopefully, prevent its return.  This in part because of the many prayers going Heavenward on our account.  And for this we are eternally grateful.

Asking why something bad happens has never entered my mind.  Scripture says we have the mind of Christ and He knew there were problems ahead!  Why should it be any different for us.  My question has always been, "How will this glorify you, Lord?"  Sometimes the answer may not come for days, years or we may never know till Heaven.  But He will be glorified if through trials we stand firm in our faith.  We have seen some answer, at least in part due to this situation, in that people we didn’t think were listening to us as we spoke of the gospel instead came to encourage us.  This has opened new avenues to tell of Christ, including one lady in our church who has been asking many questions of late.  This past Thursday my husband was able to lead her to Christ.  We now have a new sister!
