Dear Pastor,
In light of the ongoing emergency needs of the people of Haiti, I would like to submit for your prayerful consideration a letter I received today from Pastor Terry Kizer. As well as our diligent prayers, the desperate people of Haiti need our physical response to assist with their basic life needs. Please read his letter carefully and pray about what part your church can have in this effort. Currently the BBFI has two missionaries fully engaged in getting help to Haitians in need. This endeavor will be a three phased approach: Provide Immediate Relief, Sustain Life and Rebuilding, focusing on church buildings and pastor’s homes. Your church may want to begin planning now to participate in an organized building trip this summer. More information will be available soon at www.bbfimissions.com. One hundred percent of your financial gifts will go directly to aid these hurting people. Thank you for your continued prayers and for your participation in this concerted effort of showing God’s love in a tangible way.

Valentine’s Day “Buckets of Love” Haiti Relief Fund
Dear Pastor:
How often have you seen or heard an appeal for physical relief during a tragedy like the recent earthquake in Haiti and said to yourself, “I would like to help, but how can I be sure my money will go where it’s really needed, and how can I know the people will receive spiritual help at the same time?”
There is a way to offer all the physical and spiritual help we can with complete confidence. The vision is to see at least 500 churches within our BBF community come together on Sunday, February 14th (Valentine’s Day) for a “Buckets of Love” church-wide offering. If each family would give $10 for every church member in their family (a family of four would give $40) we could raise a million dollars through this effort. A church with an average attendance of 200 could possibly raise $2,000 or more!
Challenge your church congregation to participate in this effort in order to ignite a demonstration of love through our church community to assist these people in dire need, and by giving in this way, every dollar goes to the relief effort with no deductions for administrative overhead. And, every physical gift to the Haitians will be accompanied by a gospel appeal.
Two of our BBFI missionaries, Wes Lane and Tom Franklin, are working with the BBFI Mission office in this relief effort. All monies collected should be sent through the BBFI Missions office.

Please join in a demonstration of God’s love through us, and offer buckets of love for the Haitian people. Together we can make a difference!
The Missions Office has asked that you please send a note of response to the following e-mail indicating your desire to be involved and then after February 14th with a report of what your people have given so we may give a report as to what God has done through us: terrykizer@alliancebaptist.net
