Dan and Rachael Smith
Dan and Rachael Smith were approved as missionaries to Portugal in May 2002. They served their internship as short-term missionaries in the Igreja Baptista de Queijas near Lisbon under the direction of veteran missionaries, Lionel and Carol Martin. Dan grew up at Lanakila Baptist Church and graduated in 1984 from the missions course of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. Rachael graduated in 1997 from the missions course at BBC. Dan and Rachael's sending church is Cherry Street Baptist Church in Springfield, MO where Dan was ordained in 2002.
Since 2005, the Smiths have been working in Portalegre, Portugal to plant a church, along with their team members and Rachael's parents, Scott and Norma Edwards.
