Stan and Jackie Sherwood
Stan and Jackie Sherwood were approved as missionaries to Panama in September 2011. They served their internship at West Division Street Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. Their sending church is Midlothian Baptist Church in Midlothian, VA.
They started Iglesia Bautista La Gracia in Boquete, Panama in May 2017. The church grew even during the challenging time of the pandemic and currently has an average attendance of 150. The church purchased land and built a new building for the current congregation and are scheduled to begin another construction project for a pavillion with a future second story addition for more classroom space in March 2024.
They also have a MANNA Worldwide feeding center that serves lunches 3 days a week to students after school. Children attending church services are fed on weekends. Plans are to develop an after school program for students to have access to computers, printers, and internet for their school work. Please pray for and consider sending a mission team to work alongside the Sherwoods on these future projects.
